When you walk into Idahome Smiles, you meet us—Teianna & Carlos Teixeira.
Idahome Smiles opened its doors in 2018; we became its renovators in March 2023, drawn to the idea of developing a unique teeth whitening experience with true Boise hospitality. Disappointed by store-bought kits that promised brilliance but left teeth aching, we turned to global research partners and crafted our own formula—one that rebuilds enamel, minimizes sensitivity, and reveals a refined, “natural white” finish.
My roots (Teianna) stretch five generations deep in Idaho—long enough that an ancestor left “Utter Street” as a quiet reminder of early-settler grit. Carlos’s journey is wider: born in São Paulo, raised in Miami Beach, stationed at Mountain Home AFB in 2000, and—after finishing his enlistment in 2005—devoted to Boise for good. We first crossed paths on the Bench in 2009 and sealed the connection over sushi at Kyoto’s, a stop at the Idaho Humane Society, and a sunset ride along the Greenbelt. That river trail is still our favorite commute from spring through fall.
We live and work by a simple ideal: fewer ingredients, more intention. Our home is minimal, our diets revolve around single-ingredient, nutrient-dense foods, and our free time is filled with workout sessions at VillaSport, spending time with our family and pets (Mac the Cat and Brock the Doberman), long bicycle rides throughout the Treasure Valley, and (for Carlos) the occasional hunt for a rare ’90s video game memorabilia or a car enthusiast meet-up.
